Frequently asked questions

What owners ask most about reservations and testing

Is heart surgery really necessary?

Cardiac care is divided into general cardiac consultations and heart surgery consultations. A detailed consultation will find the treatment that suits the patient best.

How is the decision to operate made?

Treatment is decided from your reservation request and the results of suitability testing. It takes accurate testing and careful discussion.

How long does it take from testing to surgery?

The diagnosis, the patient's current condition and the recovery period all differ, so we will advise you in consultation after your request and testing.

Can I choose the veterinarian?

Some veterinarians' schedules change because of surgery, outside activities or emergencies, so please ask in advance when you reserve.

Can I consult a veterinarian by phone?

A first cardiac consultation is an in-depth one and is available in person only. Whether or not surgery follows, the patient's condition can be confirmed accurately only by examination, so we recommend visiting after making a reservation.

We have already been tested elsewhere. Do we need to be tested again?

For an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan, the existing records you provide must also be read and assessed by NewHeart's team, who have broad clinical experience. Echocardiography with speckle tracking, which follows the heart muscle, and joint reading with imaging specialists allow a more precise assessment.

How do I make a reservation?
