Do not wait if you see this
These are general warning signs to help you judge urgency. They are not a diagnosis. If you are unsure, call us first.
- Laboured breathing, or breathing clearly faster than usual
- Sudden collapse or loss of consciousness
- Gums or tongue turning pale or blue
- Sudden loss of use of the hind legs, or signs of pain in them
Before you arrive
What to do on the way
Just five things to remember
- 01
Do not move them more than necessary
On the way, follow the guidance of our staff rather than attempting CPR yourself.
- 02
Keep them in a comfortable position
If breathing looks hard, do not lift them or change their posture by force. Leave them in the position they choose.
- 03
Watch breathing and temperature
Use a well-ventilated carrier and make sure they do not overheat on the way.
- 04
Bring what you have
Current medication and recent test records. A video of the moment symptoms appear also helps.
- 05
Call the hospital before you leave
Tell us the symptoms and condition, and we will guide your visit.
